On Saturday, July 20th, 2024, the Transcorp Credit Union community gathered at The Well Fun Park for an unforgettable day filled with fun, food, and fellowship at our annual Father’s Cookout and Picnic. This event has become a beloved tradition, bringing together families, friends, and members from across our branches to celebrate fatherhood and enjoy a day of relaxation and recreation.
The atmosphere was vibrant, with the smell of grilled meats, curry and stew pork filling the air, lively music setting the tone, and children’s laughter echoing around the park. Fathers showcased their cooking skills, competing for the title of “Best Tasting Dish,” while families indulged in delicious dishes.
This year’s event was particularly special as we introduced a friendly competition among our staff and officers. After much sizzling and seasoning, the Pt Fortin Team emerged victorious, winning the coveted title of this year’s champion! Their perfectly prepared dishes, combined with their team spirit and creativity, truly impressed the judges and the crowd alike.
In addition to the cookout, there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. The children had a blast in the pool. The picnic provided the perfect opportunity for members to relax and connect with one another, fostering the sense of community that Transcorp Credit Union is known for.
As the day wound down, everyone gathered for the awards ceremony, where the Pt Fortin branch was honored for their outstanding performance. Their team received a trophy and hamper, and, of course, bragging rights until next year’s event! The Father’s Cookout and Picnic concluded with a heartfelt thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and organizers who made the day such a success.
At Transcorp Credit Union, we believe in building strong communities and creating memories that last a lifetime. This event was a testament to that commitment, and we are already looking forward to next year’s gathering.
